|
The Senior vice president of product development and manufacturing reports to the CEO or COO and is responsible for direction, strategy, and planning and execution for the company’s product development and manufacturing operations. |
. Co-work with product design team in US to develop and manufacture the products.
. Manage employees and hands-on operation of the company’s manufacturing function, whether in-house or sub-contracted.
. Ensure that, as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness.
. Work closely with the COO on product development and manufacturing plans, goals, and future product innovations.
. Play and active role in senior-level negotiations with client companies and manufacturing partners.
. Develop and manage budgeting and budget execution with a focus on product costs and margins.
. Direct all production control, production process development, quality systems, purchasing, and shipping/receiving activities.
. Partner with sales team to meet with customers to discuss and set scheduling timelines for product delivery. |
. A minimum of 15 years experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing management in a certified manufacturing organization.
. Experience in materials management, from planning through purchasing, and negotiation and administration of
multi-million dollar procurement agreements.
. Established relationships with the full range of worldwide sub-contract manufacturers and familiarity with their capabilities, pricing strategies, and negotiation tactics.
. Success deploying commercial components into high-volume production with fast time-to market and cost-sensitivity requirements.
. Self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
. Large- and small-company experience, ideally in leading manufacturing in a rapid-growth environment.
. BS Degree in Engineering (EE, ME, Industrial Engineering), Advanced degree is a plus.
